While at-home tests aren’t always accurate, Alcove Health’s clinic provides dependable pregnancy testing conducted by a team of licensed medical professionals.
If you’ve been experiencing any early signs of pregnancy, such as a missed period, mild cramping, fatigue, or nausea (with or without vomiting), it’s recommended you confirm your pregnancy using our FDA-approved, lab-quality pregnancy tests.
At-home tests can provide false positive or false negative results. At Alcove Health, our tests are fast, precise, and fulfill the proof of pregnancy criteria set by Medicaid and most insurance providers.
If you’ve recently discovered you’re pregnant, it’s natural to have alot of questions. At Alcove Health, we completely understand and are here to help you get answers. Regardless of whether you’re considering abortion, adoption, or parenthood, an ultrasound can provide the informationyou need to make the best decision for your future.
An ultrasound is a noninvasive and radiation-free scan that uses sound waves to generate real-time images of the internal structures of your body. Ultrasounds area safe method of visualizing a developing fetus during pregnancy. Also referred to as sonographs, ultrasounds are typically the most accurate means of determining the viability of your pregnancy and estimating the gestational age.
An ultrasound can show if your pregnancy has correctly implanted in the uterus, or if you’re experiencing an ectopic pregnancy–which means the pregnancy has implanted outside the uterus. Ectopic pregnancies can be fatal if they aren’t treated correctly and in a timely manner. If you experience severe pain, bleeding, or both at any point in your pregnancy, immediately go to the emergency room.
Pregnancy–especially unplanned–can leave you with more questions than answers. Understanding your options, including abortion, is essential. At Alcove Health, we’re not an abortion clinic and do not perform or refer for abortions. However, we’re dedicated to equipping women of York County with all the essential information they might need to make the most informed decision regarding their reproductive health.
After making an appointment with our clinic, our Advocates and Registered Nurses will discuss the four different abortion options with you:
Most commonly known as the abortion pill, it is a combination of two different medications taken 24-48 hours apart. These pills cause a medical abortion when taken within 10 weeks from the first day of your menstrual period.
Our team is fully prepared to discuss all the above options with you. After your appointment, you’ll feel empowered to make the decision that truly feels right for you.
Should you decide that parenthood is the next step for you, we can help! Our LEAP (Learn, Equip, and Parent) program is designed to provide you with the necessary tools and knowledge to embrace motherhood with greater confidence. And, after you’ve completed the program, we’ll celebrate you and your little one and help you get started with a bundle of baby supplies.
Did you know that sexually transmitted infections and diseases often don’t have noticeable symptoms? It may seem scary, but it’s true! Don’t risk your health. If you’re sexually active, regular testing is crucial. At Alcove Health, we provide free STI/STD testing by vaginal swab for Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, and Trichomoniasis (Trich).
Chlamydia and Gonorrhea rank among the most prevalent STIs nationwide. Both can be transmitted through vaginal, anal, or oral sex, and can be effectively treated if detected early. However, if left untreated, they can lead to Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID), which can result in lasting complications for your reproductive system. Don’t leave anything to chance—schedule an appointment today and take control of your sexual health.
