Same Day Appointments Available
Coming alone to a medical appointment for an unplanned pregnancy can feel uncomfortable, even scary. While you may feel all the feelings: fear, uncertainty, and confusion, you don’t need to feel alone when you come to Alcove Health Women’s Clinic. You are welcome to bring a guest with you! In fact, we encourage you to bring someone with you for these services: the abortion/options consultation and the ultrasound.
When you think about making a pregnancy decision, is there someone you are including in that process (boyfriend, friend, husband, mom)? Bring that person! Then you can both hear all the information together.
Due to the sensitive nature of our services, we do not allow children in the clinic.
We encourage you to bring someone you trust and feel safe with. We realize that sometimes minors do not immediately tell their parents about an unexpected pregnancy. Parental consent is not required for our services and you are welcome to bring someone with you who is your own age.
We begin every appointment with a private consultation. This initial meeting with your advocate is to ensure we respect your privacy. Even if you bring someone with you, or they drive you to the clinic, it is still your decision how much (if any) they participate in any part of your appointment. We want to make sure we hear your wishes on who is included.
Someone from our medical team will also meet with you privately to take your health history.
If you bring someone with you, that does not mean:
