There are often days we have appointments for same day services available. Some days, our schedule initially looks full, but spots (cancellations/reschedules) open up during the day. Call us – if we have a same day services appointment available, we’re happy to offer it to you. If not, we’ll schedule you and put you on a call list for a cancellation later in the day.

What Same Day Services Do I Need If I Want An Abortion?

Before beginning any abortion procedure (medical or surgical), you need an ultrasound to determine three things:

  1. The location of the pregnancy (if it’s not intrauterine, it’s a health emergency for you and requires immediate medical attention, not an abortion)
  2. The age of the pregnancy – many women don’t accurately remember the date of their Last Menstrual Period (LMP), but an ultrasound will measure the fetus and give you an age you can rely on (this age determines which abortion procedures are available to you).
